Further to our COVID-19 update in March, and following Lloyd’s recent announcement that the Underwriting Room will re-open on 1^st September, 2020, Atrium Syndicate 609 will, from the 1^st of September, be operating on a hybrid model of both office based and remote working until further notice. Working remotely remains our current expectation for the majority of our staff.

We remain very much open for business, all of our colleagues will continue, as usual, to be available by email, telephone and video conference and in accordance with Lloyd’s new Class of Business rotation schedule some of our Underwriters may be available at the Box on designated days of the working week:

Lloyd’s Underwriting Room – Class of Business rotation schedule:

Monday: FPL and Casualty (ie. Third Party), including FAC

Tuesday: Property, Terrorism, Construction (ie. First Party), including FAC

Wednesday: Marine and Aviation (ie. MAT)

Thursday: K&R, A&H, Political Risk, Bloodstock, Energy and Reinsurance

Friday: the room will be open for all classes.

Should you wish to meet with one of our Underwriters we would recommend contacting them to determine their availability. Lloyd’s recommend that any meeting in the Underwriting Room should be booked in advance due to building capacity and queuing restrictions. Please also note that non-Lloyd's pass holders will not be granted access to the Lloyd's building until further notice.

Brokers and Underwriters will also be able to connect to colleagues external to Lloyd’s via the new digital booths in Lloyd’s Coffee shop.

We will continue to update you of any changes to the above, in the meantime we remain well equipped and prepared to maintain as near to our usual levels of service as possible.
