Atrium is very pleased to announce that Wesley Butcher will become the Head of Atrium’s US Professional Liability team with effect from 1^st September 2014. Wes joined Atrium in 2000 working on the Casualty Reinsurance account in his early years before working exclusively on the Professional Liability business since 2005.

Wes’s appointment is in line with our succession plan and follows Simon Anthony and David LeGrys’ independent decisions to retire before the end of this year. David started his Lloyd’s career at Langton Syndicate 10 in 1971 and was joined by Simon in 1979 and they have subsequently worked together throughout their careers that had seen them at Ace Syndicate 47 before joining Atrium in 1998.

“We will clearly be very sorry to say goodbye to Simon and David, two highly respected and well regarded underwriters, after a combined 78 years in the Lloyd’s market.  They have certainly earned their retirement.
