Atrium Underwriters Limited is pleased to announce that Toby Drysdale is to be appointed Active Underwriter, Syndicate 609 with effect from 1 January 2016.

Toby will be replacing Richard Harries who will be taking up the newly created role of Chief Executive Officer of Atrium Underwriters Limited (Atrium’s Lloyd’s managing agency) in addition to his existing position as the Atrium Group CEO.

Reporting to Richard in his Agency CEO role will be James Lee (the existing Agency Managing Director) and Toby Drysdale (Active Underwriter). James and Toby will head up Atrium’s Agency and Syndicate operations. They will work closely alongside Richard and the Board in the setting and execution of the Atrium strategy.

The appointments are subject to the pre-requisite regulatory approvals.

“I am delighted that Toby has accepted the role of Active Underwriter of Syndicate 609, after 22 years at Atrium and with an in depth understanding of all our lines of business, no one understands Atrium and its way of doing business more than Toby and I am confident he will lead the syndicate with great skill and courage.”
