Finance
Atrium’s finance team provide meaningful management information that supports business decisions as well as meeting Lloyd’s and our shareholders reporting requirements. Our aim is to have a fully integrated financial reporting system so we can operate as efficiently as possible in an ever demanding reporting environment.

Kirsty joined Atrium in 2003 and was appointed to the Board of AUL in January 2013, having previously been Financial Controller for the Group. Kirsty qualified as a Chartered Accountant at Mazars in 2001.
Jason Townshend

Jason Townshend ___ Head of Operations
Jason joined the Lloyd’s Market in 1996 and Atrium in 2000 from Syndicate 386 at QBE.
He is a currently a member of various Market committees including the Association Services Committee (chairperson) which is responsible for the services under the Xchanging contract, the LMA Operations Committee (OC) and the Oversight Board for credit control shared services (chairperson).
Jason is a Certified Chartered Accountant.
Justin Emrich

Justin has spent his whole career in the London Insurance Market in both Underwriting and IT related roles. He joined Atrium in 2006 and currently looks after the firm’s technical capability as well as representing Atrium on a variety of Market Committees.

Having joined Atrium in 2006 as its chief actuary was appointed to the board of AUL in January 2012. In July 2014 became the Chief Risk Officer for the Atrium group and was also appointed to the Group Board. Qualified Fellow of the Institute of Actuaries (2003).

David joined Atrium in 2003 as a Senior RI technician and has headed up the Outwards Reinsurance team since 2004.
Prior to joining Atrium David worked at Equitas (1997-2000), effecting RI recoveries on the PCW Syndicates for pre-1992 liabilities, mainly in asbestos, pollution and aggregate products liability claim recoveries.
David then moved from run off into the live underwriting environment joining the Reinsurance team at Catlin for three years (2000-2003) before joining Atrium Syndicate 609 in 2003.

James Cox joined Atrium’s Compliance and Regulatory team in 2003. James was appointed as Compliance Officer and as a Director of the Managing Agency Board in January 2013. He is the current Chair of the LMA Regulatory Committee and also sits as a member of the LMA Delegated Authority Committee and the Future at Lloyd’s DA Market Advisory Group.
